The original records stored in the County Archives in Kirkwall Library are in
four boxes numbered D15-1, D15-2, D15-3 & D15-4; the archives given here are
presented in the same sequence. Each box contains a number of bundled
documents, each bundle having its own identification. In some cases the
bundle is in the form of a book or bound document containing a number of
individually numbered pages.
Box D15-4 in particular contains some rolled maps. A brief
description of the contents of each box is given below:
